A specialised capacity building workshop for hotels’ executives on the “Promotion of the Circular Economy in the hotel sector in Cyprus” as part of the Hotels4Climate project, funded by Europe European Climate Initiative (EUKI) was held in Crete on the 14th July 2021.
Through the training, the participants had the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding on circular economy and how it is applied in the products and services they provide, as well as to be informed about existing and new legislative developments, why it is essential for the sustainability of the sector to transition to a more circular business model and what is the competitive advantage for businesses from the implementation of the circular economy.
After the completion of the workshop, two of the hotels participated had the opportunity to complete a business coaching program, tailored in their needs in their transition journey to circular economy.
