Circular Economy is at the core of the New Green Deal aiming to alleviate the pressure on natural resources and contribute to sustainable development and achieving the goals for climate neutrality by 2050.
For the transition to the Circular Economy, the EU has adopted an ambitious action plan at an EU level and Member States, including Cyprus have respectively drawn up national action plans to define their transition strategy. Industry and business, academia and those involved in policy-making will inevitably be called upon to meet significant challenges.
CYS and Cyprus are fortunate to be actively represented by three outstanding representatives in International Standardization Committee on Circular Economy, the ISO / TC 323 Circular Economy Standardization Technical Committee.
