The Cyprus Circular Economy Network welcomed its Members to take the first steps of their transition journey to Circular Economy by attending the first training programme of the Network “Introduction to Circular Economy, its principles and drivers of change” on the 21st July 2021 in Limassol!
To shift from a linear to a circular economy, businesses need to shift their way of thinking and operating, and this starts from building a strong understanding of the Circular Economy. By exploring the different dimension of circularity, the Network’s Members learned how businesses can create value by closing the loops via sharing, maintaining, reusing, repurposing, remanufacturing and recycling products, re-think the current production and consumption model, discover how it can be applied into different products, functions and services across industries and how they can contribute to make the Circular Economy happen.
This was the first training programme of many to follow – a number of programme series designed to showcase how, by transition to a circular economy, opportunities to harvest the valuable resource and capture the value losses will emerge. The Network aims to introduce its Members to a new vision of producing, delivering and using products and services by embedding circular design and developing new circular business models.
